hope, faith, love, luck
The four leaf clover has always held a special place in history. Did you know one story claims that Eve took a four-leaf clover from the Garden of Eden to remind her of happy times there? Today four-leaf clovers symbolize Hope, Faith, Love but most of all, Luck.
I found this little picture a number of years ago, at a beautiful design store in Toronto called Angus & Company and I’ve bought a number of them since. They’re made of a genuine 4 leaf clover (produced through natural propagation, hand-picked, preserved and dried) then mounted in deep archival white matting and framed in classic white, gold or soft silver.
Each picture is finished with a lovely message on the back of the story of the four-leaf clover, dated and signed by Canadian crafter, Henrietta Coole of Guelph, Ontario.
It’s a clever and classic gift for so many occasions, just think ~ house warmings, weddings, engagements, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, new baby, get well, all of those times where you want to give something with a meaningful sentiment. I personally dislike the idea of giving money at weddings, but if I do, I give it along with this picture so that I know there will be a keepsake for the years to come.
The picture is 8.5” square and sells for $95.00 plus tax, however Michael Angus and his team are kindly offering clubcobi members 10% off ($85.50) until April 17th, 2010.
You can either drop in the store or order it on the telephone at 416-537-4104 and have it shipped anywhere in Canada for an extra $20.00 (shipping outside Canada is extra).
Just mention that you saw the picture on the clubcobi newsletter to receive your discount.
Thank you Angus & Co., with a name like that, my guess is you aren’t Irish but this is one lucky deal for St. Patty’s Day!
